"Gone but Not Forgotten"

In loving memory of Wesley Phillip Leroy Beard (age 38) who passed at home in his sleep early Thursday morning, January 19th, 2012. Wesley was born August 20th, 1973 in Houston, Texas, Harris County, to Wendell Ray Beard and Deborah Jene (Burk) Beard. He was a member of Lydia Baptist Church. Wesley served 6 years in the U.S. Army National Guard, as a tank driver, and received an Honorable Discharge for his service November 21, 2000. During his adult years he worked as a Maintenance Supervisor at IAH Airport in Houston, Texas. Wesley thoroughly enjoyed deep sea and freshwater fishing, as well as deer hunting in the woods of East Texas where he grew up. His final resting place will be where he enjoyed spending his time.

Wesley was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Phillip Hall Beard and maternal grandfather Leroy Burk. He is survived by his 12½ year wife Kimberly Shawn Cain of Houston, 11 year old son Cameron Ray Beard, 8 year old daughter Erica Bree Mackenzie Beard, mother Deborah Jene (Burk) Beard, father Wendell Ray Beard of Huxley, step-mother Wanda Sherleen (Walker) Beard, sister Valarie Gail (Beard) Jones, brother Dusty Ray Beard, sister Mekayla Lynn Beard, paternal grandmother Ruth Marie (Jones) Beard, maternal grandmother Gladys Vera (Thornton) Burk, niece Ashley Brooke Huckey, niece Kara Rochelle (Jones) Maust, niece Jordan Alexandra Cain, niece Cassidy Danyelle Cano, niece Isabel Marie Wright, niece Teagan Riley Fournier, nephew Dustin Ray Beard, nephew Kyle Andrew Melton, grand-nephew Drew Layton Maust, numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and countless friends.

There is no doubt that Wesley Beard was “friends of many”, lived his life well” and today is “flying high with the Angels”. Not only did he love God, he proudly served this Country. He cherished his first born son Cameron Beard and adored his little princess Erica. He made a meager, but honest living, and shared his life with his perfect partner Kimberly.
